The Story Behind Retro Pixel Collectibles

Gaming, consoles and trading cards have always been in my blood. Growing up, it was never just about the games, the cards or the consoles, it was about the people around them. Huddling round a screen with mates, trading cards at school, saving up for the next console, it was all a way to bring people together, and that feeling never left me.

Over the years, a love of collecting grew alongside that passion. There's something about picking up a game you haven't played in decades, finding a console you grew up with, or pulling a card you never thought you'd see again that hits different, that rush of pure nostalgia, like being transported straight back. The artwork, the cartridges, the foils, the boxes, every piece tells a story.

Franchises like Pokémon, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft and Warhammer were never just games or cards. They were communities, places where you belonged, where you shared something with thousands of others who felt exactly the same.

In 2025 I started going to Comic Cons, and it was there, surrounded by fellow collectors and fans, flicking through binders, eyeing up consoles, hunting for that one card, that the idea came to life. Why not take the hobby further and share it with others? That's how Retro Pixel Collectibles was born and established in 2026.

Based in the North East of Scotland, a part of the world with its own quiet passion for gaming culture, I carefully source retro games, collectable cards and consoles, each one chosen with the same passion that started it all.

Whether you're a seasoned collector or just rediscovering something from your past, you're in the right place.
